Independent Trucks 215

$75.00

Packaging: 1 pair of trucks

Note: The hangers are not 215mm wide, they are about 185mm wide. The axle width is 10", about 254mm. The equivalent baseplate angle to a reverse kingpin truck is probably about 40+ degrees, depending on how you set your bushings up.

***We used to stock 6-hole baseplates with removable kingpins which could be used with the Indy hangers, but those are sold out now, what we can offer now is:

1) To drill the stock indy baseplates to accomodate old-school mounting holes (Free, but may take some time).
2) To replace the stock indy kingpin with a longer khiro grade 8 kingpin, which is secured with epoxy. This will allow the use of taller bushings. (Cost is $10, and you will need to email or call us so we can do it in advance as this takes a lot of time).

***Please check out the venom conventional bushings which will fit stock indy baseplates***

Indy 215 trucks are pretty unique as far as longboard trucks go because they are of the conventional design where the kingpin is behind the hanger. Most modern (non-slalom specific) longboard trucks have a "reverse kingpin" design as it is generally thought to have a more direct bushing compression and more predictable linear turning quality.

This does not mean that Indys suck though, and in fact they are quite popular cos they are super low and lots of guys feel they slide better. Depending on how you set up your bushings, it is generally thought that Indys turn more at the start of the lean and less as you lean more (non-linear lean-to-turn ratio). Some guys feel they are also really sweet for DH, and heres a guide on silverfish:
