These are for the guys who like riding in the rain. The rings are made of SUS440C stainless steel for corrosion resistance*. They are still very slightly inferior to standard chrome steel in terms of friction (probably unnoticable), but they are definitely better than rusty bearings. They do cost more though, these will sell for $55 for a set of 8. Some guys reported the shield was a little flimsy on the regular LSP ceramic hybrids so we’ve also made these slightly thicker, so it should be stronger.

*Note: 440C is not as rust proof as common stainless steels such as 304/316 (those are much too soft for skate bearings) but it should still hold up against lots of abuse, just don’t start throwing it in the sea for fun.
