Building the Hammer

I was in Ithaca NY this past August chilling at Comet HQ. After 1 full year of riding the Grease Shark I felt it was time to add some spiciness and variety to accompany the Shark. I took two inches off the back and made the wheelbase 26-27inch adjustable. This way you essentially have 4 different wheelbase options to choose from when it comes to getting greasy, 26-27 with the Hammer and 28-29 with the Shark. If you always thought the Shark was a little too big and heavy with its beefy 10-ply construction, then the Hammer is just for you. Using 9-ply construction this board is quite a bit lighter than the Shark, but still is perfectly stiff. The shorter wheelbase allows the rider to weave more quickly across the road, or tuck into corners harder than ever before. I find this board perfect for anything really, but it seems to perform well when forced into tight slides, hairpin corners, and sticky situations any obstacle that may stand in your way. The graphic means a lot to me. It shares some Grease Shark characteristics and fits quite well into the existing line up. The graphic takes a unique turn by sporting an LBDR speech bubble, crazy hammerhead shark, and it is also one of Comets most colorful boards. I am really stoked this board is now available.
