Basically these are like axle nuts but they are capped on one side and have a large flange/rim on the bearing side. These help protect the end of your axles and also shields your bearings from dust. They are nice to have for longboarding because the large rim will prevent your wheel from flying off the axle if your outer bearing bursts while you’re cornering at highspeed. Losing a wheel at high speed will really suck.
